Live-action trailer for God of War: Ascension sets the stage for vengeance

February 4, 2013
God of War From Ashes

A new live-action video for the upcoming God of War prequel, Ascension, has been released.

The trailer arrives after Sony had been teasing the video with short clips over the last few weeks.

The video itself shows the origins of Kratos’ story, where he became the “Ghost of Sparta,” after his family’s ashes were fused to his skin.

God of War: Ascension takes place before the events of previous God of War games, and will follow Kratos’ journey as he is plagued by rage and vengeance to the gods.

God of War: Ascension will launch on 15 March 2013, and will arrive in two special editions, alongside the normal version.
