Gas Powered Games pulls the plug on Wildman campaign

The ambitious and interesting-looking Wildman game from Gas Powered Games has suffered a blow, as the company has pulled the plug on the Kickstarter campaign.

The campaign initially asked for $1.1 million in funding, and with time running out and only half of the funding accumulated (which was still impressive), the developers have decided to put the campaign to rest.

“At this point, it makes sense for us to focus our attention on other ways to keep Gas Powered Games running,” said CEO Chris Taylor. “If you want status updates, or if you want to continue discussing Wildman and/or this Kickstarter, please consider migrating over to forums.gaspowered.com.”

In January 2013, it was reported that a large portion of Gas Powered Games’ staff was let go.
