Star Trek beams down new trailer, release date
Fight side-by-side with Kirk and Spock in Digital Extremes upcoming Star Trek adventure
The rebooted video game adaptation of Star Trek has been given a new trailer and release date of 26 April 2013.
The third-person shooter is set to launch on PS3 and Xbox 360, prior to the May release of the next Star Trek movie from director and producer, J.J. Abrams.
“The game is based on a stand-alone storyline that continues the adventure of iconic characters, Kirk and Spock as they work together to stop an enemy race bent on conquering the galaxy,” explained Namco.
The video shows some gameplay strikingly similar to that of Mass Effect, and shows glimpses of Kirk and Spock fighting together. With that in tow, the game features co-op multiplayer, both via split-screen and online, which should definitely get a huge hoorah from co-op lovers.
