Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag trailer, screens leaked
Ubisoft just can’t keep a lid on it’s next Assassin’s Creed game, Black Flag
Keeping with the trend of leaked marketing materials, the announce trailer for Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag has appeared online, and Ubisoft is desperately trying to keep up with all the uploads and take down links ahead of their planned big reveal. As we well know, you can’t fight the Internet.
Based on what we’ve come to expect from the Assassin’s Creed series and extracting info from the video, we can see that the protagonist is indeed Edward Kenway, father of Haytham Kenway, and grandfather of Connor from Assassin’s Creed 3. Edward is dressed in pirate garb with typical Assassin flair, and seen to be wielding dual-pistols and swords.
Famous historical pirates will no doubt feature, as Black Beard himself is narrating the trailer. Mr. Beard places the game in the Caribbean, and previous leaked details suggest that Havana, Kingston and the Cayman Islands will all appear in the game.
We see Edward diving down to wrecks, suggesting a new under-water segment of gameplay. Jungle exploration is hinted, and some trademark rooftop strategising scenes take place.
And then of course there is the sea-faring combat, which is a gameplay element that stood out in Assassin’s Creed 3. We see Edward commanding a ship, and then getting hands on deck by boarding the enemy vessel and stabbing everything. Black Beard himself has seen him clear the entire deck of a Spanish galleon.

We will continue to replace any dead video links as they arise.
Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag will be releasing on 29 October 2013. It isn’t clear which platforms will be seeing the game first, as AC titles typically have a staggered release for PC. The game will be available for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii-U, PC, and next-gen consoles, including the PS4 and presumably the yet-to-be-announced next-gen Xbox.
Some screenshots have also appeared.
