Free gigabyte ADSL accounts are once again available from Afrihost

Afrihost is once again offering free ADSL accounts that include a gigabyte of data.

The accounts behave exactly like a normal Afrihost account, the Internet service provider (ISP) said, and will receive the free data every month until cancelled.

Like any regular capped account, data can be topped up at any time and users will be able to access Afrihost’s top-up specials, such as 2-for–1 top-ups and seasonal specials for capped accounts.

Free GB account holders will also be eligible for Afrihost competition draws and promotions.

While no purchase is necessary to receive your free GB, Afrihost did say it reserves the right to cancel the free data at any time for any reason.

“This offer is not a promotion and does not place any obligations on clients signing up,” Afrihost said in its launch announcement. “It’s free every month and it really is that simple!”

Afrihost said that these accounts are now permanently on offer and anyone can signup for one provided they have an active ADSL line and have not previously registered a free GB with Afrihost on that line.

Afrihost’s Suvesh Arumugam clarified that Afrihost intends to run the offer permanently, but reserves the right to suspend or limit new signups. “However, clients who have already signed up for the account would not have their accounts suspended or taken away, as is evident by previous the several thousands FREE GB clients who are still active several years after we ran this as a promotion,” said Arumugam.

Users interested in signing up for a free account with Afrihost can do so directly from the ISP’s website.
