Following the report that a new and mysterious Deus Ex-related trademark had been registered, it’s now come to light that the reservation is for a future film project.

“Deus Ex: Human Defiance” was the trademark title, and created speculation that a new game was in the works, but it’s become known that CBS Films was behind the registration.

The particular trademark could then be related to the Deus Ex movie project, which was announced back in July 2012.

Director Scott Derrickson (The Exorcism of Emily Rose, The Day the Earth Stood Still) is rumoured to be attached to the project.

The movie is reportedly scheduled for a 2014 release.
