Battlefield 2143 on the horizon?

DICE seem to scatter a lot of little easter eggs around their Battlefield 3 multiplayer maps, and a new one looks familiar.

The new easter egg comes from the recently released End Game add-on, which features the futuristic air-carrier that appeared in Battlefield 2142.

The shrunken flying ship can be found on Kharg Island, and is tucked-away not-so-subtly behind some rocks and trees.

The easter egg could purely be a homage to DICE’s previous game, or could it be a hint to something more?

Previous easter eggs included hidden dinosaurs planted around some of the maps and the Normandy spaceship from Mass Effect..
