Wolfenstein: The New Order on hardest: “you will cry blood”

The upcoming Wolfenstein’s hardest difficulty setting will test your mettle

The Wolfenstein series has always had its fair share of tough super-Nazi enemies, however, Machine Games assures that The New Order will raise the difficulty bar even higher.

“You will cry blood,” said Machine Games’ Andreas Ojerfors.

“We want it to be a real, real challenge for people. This is not an easy game,” Ojerfors said. “Of course we have the five difficulty levels of the original Wolfenstein 3D, everything from “Daddy Can I Play?” to “I Am Death Incarnate”. So you can turn it down or turn it up if you want to. But the default, normal setting of the game, it’s going to be a challenging experience.”

While the game will give you a tough time on the harder difficulties, Ojerfors assured games that it won’t be an unfair experience.

“It’s difficult, but it’s always fair,” Ojerfors said. “You’re never really cheated. It’s always your fault if you die.”

Wolfenstein: The New Order is set to release on PC, Xbox 360, Playstation and next-gen consoles in Q4 2013; check out the Wolfenstein: The New Order video previews.
