Top 10 most pirated PC games right now – August 2014

Pirate Flag

Ahoy mateys. It’s time again for the top 10 roundup of the most pirated PC games right now.

As always, we want to point out that there tons of games going for low prices on sites like GOG and Steam, and SA’s new release titles for PC are not badly priced either.

In summation – don’t be a pirate.

Piracy, through torrent sites or any other avenue, is never a good thing, but what the illegal sharing of games does is let us know which titles are desired most by a portion of the online community.

We visited some of the top torrent sites – don’t try this at work – to find out which PC games are being seeded most. Below is a top 10 list from each site.

These studies/statistics are silly. The only thing it does is promote piracy. It’s like hey, here’s a list of things you may have forgotten.

    Are all gamers high?

Why else would Minecraft, goat simulator and GTA san andreas a 10 year old game be on that list.

What about tomb raider. Epic game

  • Tosh

Torlock has world of warcraft? The game is free to download from the official servers?…Unless torlock is an official node for warcraft.

I’m with you. I mean really, GTA regularly sells for like $4 or less, surely by now everyone who wants it has either pirated it or bought it. Same with GS, it’s only $10 when not on special, and $5 on special. Clearly they’re spending too much money on their rigs and forgetting to keep some money for games…

  • Lothy

I think this points out the age group more than anything. Who else cant afford a $4 game other then kids… I mean for me I haven’t pirated a game in probably the last 10 years. With things like December steam specials who needs to pirate games anymore

  • Dave

Yeah I think that must be it. Kids with not so great PCs and maybe third world PC owners, who can’t run the latest games. And yes piracy ceases to become an issue once you’re not being forced to take out a loan just to buy new games.

Buy the games dirty pirates. These top 10 lists must be a hard pill to swallow for the developers working their butts off making the games.

  • Wurnman

Dude, if they wait a minimum of 3 months they will be getting these games at half or even more discounted prices on any online games store or even BT Games store.

  • Wurnman

    Or even Deus Ex…

  • Xileer

Most people download a cracked version to play on cracked servers. The popular cracked servers have thousands of players.

Replay Value (or replayability which is apparently not a word)

  • Omgee

hahaha, yeah and where to go get it 😉 or maybe these sites are now being investigated by the cyber crimes division of south africa to make more public examples?

  • hatmadter

I pirate first… then if I actually play it for longer than 30minutes I’ll buy it.
Too many unfinished and crap games being released.

  • Ron

Skyrim legendary edition is def worth buying on steam, its regularly on sale and the workshop makes installing so easy, I’m running 95 at the moment.

I agree. Its a silly article, as with the Most Pirated Movies on MyBB.

I don’t see any logic behind uploading an article like this.

“In summation – don’t be a pirate.” – But please, enjoy this article.

  • IAmThePope

Same here, if I am unsure I will normally get a pirate copy, see how it is, then buy it on steam/origin. If I see a game and I am sold then I just buy it without pirating first. I miss the days of demo’s lol
