Live technicians prepare XBL for new features

June 11, 2009

Microsoft has announced that Xbox Live will be offline next week Tuesday June 16 for the entire day.

Xbox Live technicians will be using the downtime to prepare the service for some of the new features that were announced at last week’s E3.

Some of the new features coming to Xbox Live include Last.fm, Facebook, Twitter, Zune Video, Sky TV, Games on Demand and an Avatar Marketplace.

While the downtime will be happen in preparation for some of these features, it will not activate any of them.
