When the story is done (which isn't long, apparently), all you will be doing is driving around and doing races.
If you are lucky to have a crew, how often will you be with them. I did not think of these things. I thought "a racing game without custom mods - must have"... Not so.

That's all I really do, and I enjoy it. I hardly play the story based missions and only really do it to get it over with and/or progress it. To be honest, the game is very mediocre but I knew what I was getting into. I just find it so relaxing and actually quiet enjoyable.

So I caved in.
Bought it this morning on Kalahari for R339, should arrive Friday. For PC btw.
What I've been reading so far is also not a whole lot of good, but as mentioned before I did enjoy the Beta quite alot, all the driving around exploring the areas.

Yeah, like I've said. It's not a whole lotta good and overall a very meh game. But I enjoy the driving around and exploring aspect of it. And the amount of time it will take to explore everything kinda warrants the amount I paid for it. Kinda pays for itself in enjoyment vs cost.
 
I dunno, I am really enjoying this game. Haven't had any issues with connectivity (except not being able to join BeoTek twice), but I don't really care about the MP all that much. I really like just driving around aimlessly, for some reason I find it really relaxing. The story missions can be overly difficult if you're playing SP, but because the world is so big if I struggle with one thing I just go play something else to level up my car a bit and go back later. I haven't played far (yet), am only like lvl 15 I think, but so far I am having a good time with the game.

This is exactly where I am with The Crew. Despite it's shortcomings (of which there are a large number - see the review linked earlier by @BeoTek) I'm finding the act of driving across the US oddly rewarding, and relaxing. I go back to the occassional story mission every now and then, but at the moment I'm content just driving around fairly aimlessly.

I see I got the limited edition. Nice. Everyone else prolly got the same though.

I really do want this game, but a new KB is top priority.
Maybe I will save some money this month (next to saving for the KB) and next month to see if I can get it by Jan; the KB is going to be a lot of money, but I need a premium quality replacement.

EDIT: I will not impulsively buy this title just because it has mostly good views. Staring at my KB brings heartache (at times), knowing... I can have a much better KB, it will just take a while to get it.

Still haven't figured out how to get them in-game!

Yeah it just says Cooper on the from and other extras but I guess its the same.
IIRC, some people complained on the forums about the whole claiming the limited edition cars.
Hope they sort that crap out as well. I'll let you know if I manage tonight.

Edit: So @BeoTek, I got my Cooper NP. Entered code and once I finished the Prologue it was at my HQ.
Also, I only got the Mini, nothing else.

I may consider getting this for my B-day in March; still undecided. Would have gotten GTA V for PC... but that price :wtf:
