People who can haz a stronger 'fight' response than 'flight' are teh lucky ones ....... just don't be so judgmental on the ones who haz a strong 'flight' response.

I think for a number of people, learning how to cope is the hard part. Some people learn how to do it fairly easily, other people... it's more difficult. Then of course there are those who simply just can't and it all become too much for them.

You might be surprised how many people have never thought as far as "what now?" To them, when their immediate sense of "the world" gets shattered, it's as though they have nothing left.

I say be patient with the girl. She needs to learn things for herself and discover her own means of dealing with issues. I think she just needs support... and not lovey-happy-hippie support either, but firm yet considerate support. Sometimes you just have to help someone open their eyes... And that's help, not force 'em open with the jaws of life :p

Not being Judgmental. Its just the way my brain works. She's a problem for me profesionally, and her being a problem causes other larger problems. This is after all a business not a charity. Personally i wish i could help he, Profesionally i wish she would get her act together.

I get that. I think these kind of things are things people should've already dealt with when they were teenagers. Not the family/kid/whatever thing, but the learning how to cope and not get yourself into those kinds of situations in the first place.

To be perfectly honest, I'm glad I'm not in your shoes :p
 
Yeah well, unfortunately my parents raised me to be the nice, friendly supportive type even though i wish i wasn't.
Worst is when she was talking to me i was thinking "i dont need to know how u tried to kill youself." the only reason she had to tell me this was to play the emotional card. She's been here not even 3 months. 3 MONTHS!!! and she has been off sick more times than i have been in the last 3 years.

I think certain things (like zomg I tried to pwn myself) should be kept private. As in, business life is business and private life is private. You shouldn't mix the two, ever.

You should've probably hired her on a one month probation period :p

Any idea what you're going to do from this point?

I didn't hire her. She was appointed before i started here. Ive only been here 4 months myself.

Well from what i hear she has decided to move back to Mosselbay. Kinda hope it materializes so that i can look for a full time new Receptionist that i can put on a 3 month probation before making permanent.

If u really want to kill ur self you make sure ur will be dead, take a nose dive off a bridge, walk infront of a buss or train or shotgun in the mouth, even though i heard of a guy who screwed that up, dont take pills or something that could fail. if ur going to do something, do it properly.

It comes with the Jobtitle. I just shrug it off. nothing i can really do about it. Plus i have a shit load of other things i can actually do something about so ill focus on that. Have to talk to my manager later and see what we're going to do.

just hand her a slip knot rope and say JUST DO IT ALREADY lmao :p or give her a razor blade and remind her its not across the road its down the street lol.... :p

yeh well i make jokes outta it :p.... and my gf is unfortunately Bi-polar so i know how to cheer her up by just cracking jokes and all that :) it actually works................... most of the time :D other times i get an ass kicking and then 5min later its all hundreds :D
