I had mine taken out in the chair 9 yrs ago. It was sore, as they were stuck half under jaw. Dentist used her drill to cut it in half and then extract it

Dont scare the kid. have it done under sedation or in theater. Will hurt a bit but not too bad. Just get ready to loose the bit of wisdom u have.

If it's a good dentist, he'll probably recommend a local (knockout) and a surgical removal ..... if it's not such a good one ..... eish and yikes and fok.

I has wisdom toofs too.... I actually have two sets :p First set is out, other set is still hiding, but X-rays show that they'll grow into the jaw area... They'll have to be removed one day... But I'm way, way, way too scared of being put under general anaesthetic and even more scared of being awake for it :p

I neber even has had a root canal :p

General is fine.

Dude - I had 2 root canals done on my upper front milk teeth. ... 2 weeks apart. I had an abscess develop behind them and it was too potent to be put out by local anaesthetic - so I could feel the doc drill into my tooth. :(

Honestly, it was the worst pain I've ever experienced...and i've written myself off plenty times.

I thought you only needed a doctor's note if you're off for more than one day? I'd be going nuts if I had to be at work and in pain :x

You could always just sock your boss in the kisser and ask him how he likes it? :p
