What movie did you last watch thread.

About the new Godzilla, I truly didnt enjoy it, it seemed to be filled with random scenes stuck together. I prefered the Matthew Broderick and not sure about the japanese one, havent seen it.

One thing though, I liked what they did with Godzilla. That was unexpected.

The Japanese ones. They go waaaaay back. What they did with Godzilla in this new movie was your classic Japanese Godzilla... The Matthew Broderick version wasn't Godzilla, it was just some giant lizard running amuck in New York.

Thread necro ftw!

Finally watched "Noah".
It's not a bad movie, but I lost interest in the latter half. Problem is, so did most of the production team. The part where Noah got drunk was a critical aspect of the break in the family but it felt rushed and meaningless in the larger context.
The visuals are great and I never knew Noah had giant, stone Mechs help him build the ark.
If you're a Christian, you probably won't find this movie offensive but you'll have a few good giggles at how badly the writers and director got some things wrong.

Verdict: 6/10
The book was better.

Agreed. The movie started off quite good, but I couldn't care less one they boarded the ark. I felt the same about Exodus, sadly. The movie lacked the sense of desperation and scale that I hoped it would have.

Yeah agree about Exodus. That animated Prince of Egypt of the 90's was miles better.

Yeah, even though it was animated and was a typical sing-songy children's movie, it captured the spirit of the story perfectly. They did a sequel about Joseph a couple of years later and it was judt as good.

Never checked out Joseph. I tend to avoid straight-to-dvd (vhs those days) animations as the quality is usually abysmal at best [emoji14]

The Boy Next Door. Got quite low ratings but I quite enjoyed it. Kept me pretty on the edge of my seat. A lot more violence that I expected.

Yeah Big Hero 6 was awesome. Been a long time since I found an animation to be as good for adults as it is for children. Birdman I pretty much expected to be very dull - most Oscar nominated/winning films are.

going to watch 50 shades tonight, apparently its mediocre but the tickets are free and the popcorn and drinks so im not going to complain

I'm watching it tomorrow as I booked before they opened tonight's premiere shows (was only selected cinemas originally). Kinda looking forward to it though [emoji14]

John Wick, if I recall correctly.

Interesting premise. Action scenes were very smartly choreographed.
