PS TV competition: Should Solitude keep the prize?

Should Solitude get to claim his PlayStation TV prize so he can give it to BeoTeK?

Unfortunately an item of mine broke this weekend and BeoTeK was being nice to me by giving me a console at an excellent price. I know he wanted the prize so I thought, maybe I should try my luck. It's not the nicest thing to do from my side since people who now had an extra chance to win the prize have been robbed of it. But I know it will go to someone who will appreciate it and I can give it to him as not only a way to say thanks but to make the price more fair.

So I'm being a dick for a reason. Like Batman.

All a good story and good intentions but rather irrelevant after you already declined. You shouldn't get to change your mind because your circumstances have now changed.

No don't hate either of them just don't believe you get to change your mind after declining because your circumstances have now changed.

Not really. An odd request was made by an established member in good standing and I called a vote. Next time round there will also be a vote. The community decides and people can vote nay next time if they want to.

The card only went out this week to avoid it getting lost in the courier system over the long weekend. Hopefully when Aw3som3 gets his prize he'll at least come back to post some photos and whatnot.

He might not be a regular, but he's not a one-post wonder either, at least.

Thats fair. I guess this is the procedure going forward for that sort of thing.
