i dont think the psu will be able to handle two 4850s get a 650Watt
i got the HD4850 toxic its a realy good card and the drivers are good but the card dose run hot (+60 on load) , but i think its made to run at that temp
get about 120 - 160 fsp on cod4 1920*1200 so i dont think you will need a second one but if you want you can always buy one later if you get a better mobo (tri - crossfire :) )

a good cpu to get is the E8500

Ok, swap that PSU out for this one

CM EXTREME POWER 650W ATX V2.0 REGULAR R890

Shit, PSUs have gone up since the last time I brought one about 2 years ago.

I will start off with the single HD4850 and get the second later

Not a big fan of tri crossfire, and this mobo is an insane overclocker, wouldnt want to swap it any time soon

You guys beat me to the punch in regards to the 550 watt not being enough. I think the 650W should cope with the load though, not sure how much overclock headroom there will be mind you.

From what ive heard that mobo is a monster dude..and that pc will be insanely fast..Nice build aswell!!

Mmmmm Psu wise you'd need a 650 watt and if I were you I'd maybe get a corsair,,they do cost a bit more..but they are fantastic!!

Orly? I have never used a Corsair PSU..

Will look into it, thanks Joker, and thanks for the Mobo link, I have been itching to get one of those for a while now

Its a pleasure mate.
I hope you build that rig i'd like to see how it runs against my next rig!!
Corsair is brilliant..if you do have some cash to splash you can even go for a Gigabyte Odin..they also really good but a bit pricey!!

Dude when you see specials on there would you mind posting them in the Pc hardware and gaming section!!
We need to have that thing full of specials!!!
It helps everyone!!

No problem I'll do that. I just had a look at their latest price list and I'm not impressed. They used to be my go to people for parts at a good price. My entire build basically came from them. :(

That kinda sux mate.
I know how you feel though.
That's why I do the specials thread..You could easily build a pc at the best possible prices from that section!!

Next time I'm in the market for an upgrade I'll definitely refer to the specials thread. I'm just not big on buying electronics online, I've learned my lesson there.

Dude you can always speak to me..Ive been building pc's for the last 9 years of my life and I always know where you can get the best prices.

LOL its called the upgrade bug mate!!
Ive got it really bad!!
Still looking to build someone that monster rig..don't you want it..lol!!
Thought about it, but 30k is a lot. I was planning on spending that on my leet new lappy later in the year.

I don't expect I will upgrade for a while, my PC is more than capable enough as it is.
