I agree with Hammer, they are very different, so best to decide what direction you want to take and study that.

Even if you want to do mobile app development, you'd probably need to decide if you prefer Apple or Android, because that would study either Objective-C or Java

Correction, Swift or Android. Objective-C is just about dead. Apple is punting Swift for all its worth, including open-sourcing Swift 2 recently.
