You have 30 minutes to be resurrected on the spot OC - as soon as the 30 minutes are up you'll res automatically at the last place you soulbound to.

You'll often see people pinging a location for a res. What gets me sometimes is that someone will die within a few metres of me ... but will warp back to town before I can res them. What a waste :p

Elyos is pretty fun, nice zones and questing is generally ok. I do find soul binding to be a bit of a pain due to the distances after dying and the cost of moving around between zones.

But I don't think that's any better on the Asmo side.

Also numbers seem to play a pretty huge part in the game, if the server is 49% Elyos, 51% Asmo it actually turns out to be a pretty large difference.

Our server (Castor) has trouble on the Elyos side in pvp, just due to the sheer zerging of Asmo's, even though it's a 2% difference.

Might just be because they have more organised Legions though - time will tell.

What area u in at the moment shadow? im around that citadel place. Would be nice having a healer around.

That depends. Are you Elyos or Asmo?

Also ... I don't actively play on Gorgos anymore ... the queues just got too much ... although I hear rumours they've faded a bit.

But I haven't run into a queue on Kahrun yet.
 
Pity - I'm not on Kalil at all.

Just finished all my Dukaki settlement missions last night - I'm off to hunt Frillnecks now.
 
Anyone know any free local vent/TS servers?

We're having major issues with ours at the moment (hosted intl.) where people get dropped, can't hear you etc..
 
Nope sorry JKR - Maybe find out from is.gaming - i think that's where our's is hosted for free.

Shadowfox, in the last week or so, avg login times on Gorgos were 5-15minutes. The last 3 nights I haven't seen a queue once...

Are server transfers available to all servers or limited 1s? I'd rather transfer my Glad to Gorgos than have to start from scratch again :o
 
heya

I've been off of WOW for about 2 months now, was thinking of going back once Cataclysm launches. But the fact is that AION seems interesting...
i read everywhere that it is actually quite good, so im thinking of giving it a try!
it seems that Gorgos is the server to join? Also, has the launch issues been resolved now?

@Leaky - It seems like the worst of the server issues are past now ... the massive queues seem to be a thing of the past. Someone did point out that WoW had similar issues when it launched ... so its all a teething process of sorts.

Part of this is because some people migrated over to the new servers (Kahrun and Kalil), and possibly also all the WoW fanboys have decided to stop coming to complain about Aion on Aion since their 30 days will be coming to an end soon.

@Voicy - I'm actually quite happy on Kahrun at the moment - I've started my legion there as well ... I'm actually considering deleting my chars on Gorgos atm ... but I'm holding off on that decision for the time being. I'm hoping that come December I'll have a bit more time, so I can spread the love a bit :p

I found another friend has rolled Asmodian on Kahrun...so I'm torn once again

Ive created a Legion named... The Last Legion :cool: at the moment there is me and a chanter dude from norway. Im still playing Kalil so any body who want to join let me know.
 
I see what u mean about Mages voicy, created an alt 1-10 plus ascension in 3 hours was a lol.

Dude for the beginning it is hey, i remember struggling with carkek (or what ever hes called) with my ass (assasin u dirty mofos) but come mage i was doing like 200-250 a hit with firebolt level 1 then u still got chains on top of those :eek:

The only time i died was when i was over confident and took like 3 mobs at once :o

Any good defensive spells?
I think im going to Create an alt Mage on Gorgos if it isn't full otherwise on Kalil.
 
Well they dont really even get up to u but the one i have atm is

Stone Skin

Forms a protective shield for 5 min that can absorb damage with the probability of 100% whenever you receive Attack. The protective shield absorbs ___ damage each time and remains effective until it absorbs a total of ___ damage.
