23 Fun Facts About 'Firefly'

A few interesting facts in there I hadn't read about before:

- Originally, Firefly’s crew included just five members.

- Rebecca Gayheart was originally cast to play Inara.

- Neil Patrick Harris auditioned for the role of Simon Tam.

- Alien's Weyland-Yutani made an appearance.

- Joss Whedon designed the series to run for 7 seasons.

- Zac Efron's acting debut was on Firefly.

I really couldn't get into Firefly. Think i got up to the 3rd episode before giving up and switching to Farscape

Seriously babes, I give up on you!

Hand back your geek card immediately.

What's Firefly?

You mean to say, I get to be the one to introduce one of today's lucky 10,000 to something awesome?!

Dude!

After Serenity and Firefly, I became a card-carrying member of the Joss Whedon fanclub (we design and print the cards ourselves).

If you have access to Netflix US, go and put Firefly on your list immediately. Then after you've watched Firefly, watch Serenity. Firefly is a 1.5-hour pilot plus 12x 45-minute episodes, and Serenity is a ±2-hour movie.

That's like 12.5 hours total. You can binge-watch that in a weekend. A month, tops!

If you don't have access to Netflix US, let me know and I'll see if I can hook you up ;)

Also... just for the record, NPH is da BAWSS!!!!

YES!

YES!

Yeah, I only have Netflix version South Africa. I tried the whole UnoTelly and VPN and DNS crazy hookup route and it's more trouble than it's worth to me. Also, I'm not too much of a pirate so I hardly download much, torrent wise. I've got so much stuff on my PC I just don't watch. Unless I can stream it, I probably won't watch it.

This! I never knew about firefly until after watching the movie. From then, when I see any of the cast in a movie/series, I immediately think of Firefly.

Binge watched the series when I got it, bought the boxset.

I think the whole series is just extremely well put together, from the fresh and interesting world, to the very firmly developed characters (I can immediately think of a few character traits for each), but mostly Nathan Fillion. He is absolutely brilliant.
