Man gives Audi R8 as a tip

Car guards raise mixed opinions among drivers. They're handy when it comes to exiting a crowded parking spot but at the same time, they can be a pest for your change because they 'helped' you reverse park.

Whatever your stance, a businessman in Cape Town felt very generous on Thursday and left two car guards a healthy tip - his R1.4m Audi R8.

According to the Cape Argus, a businessman reportedly handed over the keys to his Audi R8 to two car guards working at the Cable Car station on Table Mountain.

Fabrice Munqanga-Mungala and Desiré Shima were given the car and police have confirmed that all the paper work is in order.

To add further intrigue to the businessman's generosity, there is even a sticker on the bonnet with the message 'A future for all'. Now that's one expensive tip.

How mad is this bra? must be loaded!

WTF. Seriously? I really find this hard to believe. The guy was probably on drugs, because even if you are a tycoon in this country, R1.4M to someone you have never met is a lot of money.

Surely the guy has some good friends who, if he had such an urge to give away an R8, would have been ecstatic about the gift?

I certainly would have.

I have a mate who gave away his BMW 318 to a car gaurd in Richards Bay.
He had just bought himself a new Golf 3 VR6 and didnt need the BMW.

Look its no R1.4M car but it still is alot of money to just give away.

What I find harder to believe is that the idiots cut a SLIT into the car's bonnet for suggestions/money to help others... essentially turning it into a R1.4m donation box. WTF?

I would've given away the Golf and kept the 318.

Or the one kills the other, sells the car, goes crazy with the money because his never had so much, becomes a compulsive gambler and drug addict, goes heavily into debt, loses everything and then goes back to car guarding.
