Kings bounty

Tsar

The thing that should not be
Has any one played it? Came out in 2008,thinking of buying it. Looks like it is a remake of heroes of might and magic. Gamespy gave it 90%.

If you're a fan of the Heroes genre then you will love it. But one warning...it is insanely difficult. You have to learn to pick your battles very well. There are lots of "high level armies" in the begining of the game which you have no chance of killing. And you kind of have to realise that you will need to come back at a later stage to take them on. But I would highly recommend it.

Well are there scenarios like heroes of might and magic or is it just the campaign?

Agreed, it is tought but huge fun!

Just a story, rather than a campaign. Lots of quests to do.

So no single stories just off you go sort of thing in one world? Well I am going to get it and play it as heroes 5 sucked.

why does everyone say that?
Heroes 5 is not as good as heroes 3, but it was far from sucking

I just don't know hey. Did not do it for me. I liked heroes 4. I think the way they did it just put me off. I mean the artefacts really sucked and some of them did nothing. I did not like any of the maps either. I hear they are making heroes 6 maybe that one will do it for me.

So I got it and it is pure win. Just had to get into it. Once you leveled up to a decent level it starts to get fun.

Been playing it for 2 weeks and love it. A true game to the original kings bounty.

Totally awesome, as to date there is a Platinum edition available: containing king's bounty legend, armored princess and then expansion of that before Cross worlds, Might and Magic heroes 6 was released last week, still waiting though on my pre-order, eish.

Just by reading this thread has really peaked my interest in getting this. Hopefully BT have it in stock as this would be awesome.

One of the key differences between this and Heroes is that movement on the campaign screen is not turn-based, but occurs in real-time. Only combat is turn-based. It works quite well, seeing as you don't have to manage towns and settlements.

Played King's Bounty The Legend and Armored Princess twice. Not too difficult at all, it's like Starcraft where you pick a build to go a specific route and optimize your play. If you don't, there'll be no synergy and you'll be in the shit.
I managed to get through most of the game on highest difficulty with 1 stack of units.

Anyways, it's crazy fun. You can also check out the official forums for mods and stuff, like better AI, improved UI etc.

First off if you are going to get it, or either which of Crossworlds. Get that , and play THE ORCS ON THE MARCH campaign.
The Expansion is exactly the same as the ARMORED PRINCESS, though you receive in THAT Campaign, New creatures to slay or use in combat,70 new items, 8 new item sets, including one for the pet dragon and 3 component artifacts.
7 new quests allow players to continue their journey,50 new abilities and skills,13 new spells.
And oh some good advise, you are definitely going to replay again, once you get a hang of the game on how things work, so first off learn and make mistakes , lol!!! good thing to , is to go on the official forums as well on tips and that.
I actually had to do that before playing it lol!! Go for it.....you wont be disspointed....and you'll be learning something new called "kitting" lol!!! cheers

Haha, you guys are making me feel bad...

I really struggled in The Legend! I got to the Pirate Islands...and the units were just too insane!

Think I should try again. LOL!
