You can only really play it online.

You should seriously consider joining us dude. Rounds are much longer, bigger maps, more squad oriented, vehicles/tanks/choppers/planes...

The game costs R80 once off & you play it on SAIX's gaming servers.

i got the game and occasionally play it at lans...

...now my question is how much bandwith does chow +- an hour to play online
 
Depending on voip useage and server fullness, I can get around 60 megs for 2/3 rounds which is about 1-2 hours of gaming

is this on local servers? or doesn't it matter?
i connect to the net via 3g...

...is the voip for "team speak"
 
It is on local SGS servers, yes..and the voip is ingame. I don't know if you'll be able to play very well using 3G tho, last I checked you get about 120+ ping, which can make quite a difference against the majority with 40 ping
 
I have Battlefield 2 lying around at home. I was going to give it a try, but after being gunned down in short order the last time I tried playing on online fps, I don't think I'll be showing my face online for some time :P

If I did feel brave, I would probably use the same name as I do here.
 
Aww! C'mon! FPS's aren't that difficult, just bunnyhop endlessly and shoot in the general direction of the enemy
 
Um...what is "bunnyhopping"? :o

Have you ever respawned only to be shot seconds later, over and over again?

:D It was kinda funny.

I sure have. Bunnyhopping is exactly what bunny's do, press space to jump, and jump around so your a difficult target to hit!
