Worst game endings (spoiler alert!)

War is never the answer, :-D I liked the endings where I didn't kill a lot of people, I was a pacifist honest.

Best is to choose a totalitarian government, and then turn the earth into a desert wasteland with nukes, after amassing an army, capturing all the weakling nation`s cities, and then renaming their cities to "district 1" "district 2" etc.

Almost forgot about Fallout 3. Didn`t want to actally finish the game... still had many quests to do... the story was just a sideline.

The ending of Fallout3 was actually disappointing, compared to it's ancestors it felt a bit tacked on.

What about 2nd playthroughs and online play?

That's like saying Diablo shouldn't drop anything :(

I suppose if it's for the purpose of second playthroughs at a higher difficulty level it's fine - if that was the intention (ala Diablo) - but to be honest, I've never made use of the facility. I tend to play the game through and uninstall until a later date when I reinstall for the sake of nostalgia or something.

There's plenty of games that don't do this - you get to the final boss, get the uber-powerful gun - fire one shot, boss dead, game over. Kinda sad, although I understand that getting the uber-gun halfway through the game might make things a little too easy. Finding the balance is kind of difficult, and not many developers pull it off all that well.

Half-Life 2 had the perfect approach to this problem. With their immensely fun gravity gun introduced fairly early, and then amping it up and giving you the opportunity to throw enemies around like ragdolls towards the end.

Far Cry 2: WTF is this shit? Thats it?

Freelancer: Again. Thats it!?!? WTF!?!?

Quake 4: Repeat above.

Prince of Persia (2008): " "

Borderlands: I WANT TO GET INTO THE DAMN VAULT!!!

F.E.A.R. 2: What just happened?

CoD 6 Seriously, I've survived millions of shots throughout 5 previous games, and ONE tiny pistol bullet makes me collapce?

Haha strangely enough I loved Prince of Persia (2008)'s ending. Um but I can't write about it here without giving away spoilers.

Yeah ... now that you mention it ...

I did have a lot of fun towards the end there :D Left lots of enemies hanging around, so to speak ;)

Well there is a spoiler warning on the thread, so i'll just go ahead.

To me just made everything seem so pointless. I worked my assoff trying to trap arihman, just to releace him again for the exact same reason he was freed in the 1st place.

Mass Effect 2 ... The entire game the story was brilliant and then you get to the end just before the massive confrontation.
