DirectX 11?
Well, as stated, [obviously] no games are going to be released this year with Dx11 support, and undoubtedly lots of Dx11 games in 2010...
So, there is no reason to wait for a card with Dx11 support, if you want to upgrade your graphics card now... your new generation ATI / Nvidia will keep you happy for a long time to come.
(I still have my old Nvidia GeForce 8800GTS 320MB, and I am still very very happy with it. (yes the first ones))

I'm happy with my 8800GTX Ultra, it's still going strong. But the way things are moving it's hard to keep up. At least we're seeing decent drops in card prices.
As long as that keeps up it should be good.
I thought that they were gonna make DX10 the last of the series but its not like i'll even be able to run DX11 anyway seeing as im using XP stillbut has anyone got info as to what improvements they have made to the new DX then???
That 8800GTX has shown impressive longevity. AFAIK it is still capable of handling the latest games on highish settings. How is your experience with recent titles Toxin?
Its definitely an argument for the high end segment. Sure you spend like double up front, but they just seem to last forever
I don't have any details... but there is no way that DX 10 was going to be the last of the series, and neither will DX11 be the last.
I play at 1440x900 and the 320mb is just not enough for the latest games.
Yep, running most of the newer games @ 1280x1024.
Waiting to upgrade my card though (not in the next few months)![]()
