Xbox 360 VS PS3

PS3 looks better in my room :P (black + blue + purple) I like it's controller more(has a longer battery life) I bought it so i could enjoy Final Fantasy (and btw versus is still a ps3 exclusive) Killzone 2 is coming soon as well as God of War3. It has a built in Blue-ray Player. Movies look awesome. I have a plylist on the thing, plug it into my bigscreen + 7.2 surround sound and viola a nice visualization and great music in the background.

We have a local store. It has wireless :D and the 80GB holds a lot of tv shows for me to watch (my mom hogs the pvr)

I've never been a big fan of consoles. But recently I have started looking in getting a xbox. For me the big pro for the xbox is the price. Then again the ps3 does have blu-ray. hmm but the R2 000 saving on the xbox means a lot more games...

Xbox wins.

PS3 FTW :P

I don't really care. I would obviously say PS3 as I own a PS3. I had an xbox and never really played it.

Every man/girl to their own I always say :P

I think it's rather simple.

After buying my Xbox a while back, I realised Microsoft doesn't give a $%#^ about us down here in SA when it comes to Xbox Live support and many other accessories. Combine that with the notorious probability of the RRoD, and I'll be going for the PS3 next time I have to choose my console.

If I got given a free xbox 360 *hint* *hint* it might help me make up my mind :p

Although on a more serious note I've only really played on a PS3 so its not that easy to compare for me...If I had the choice of which 1 I wanted I would probably take a PS3 though, biggest selling point would be the blu ray support and the fact that online play is free and no RROD :)

If someone came up to me and let me take either an xbox or a ps3, I'd take the PS3, no question. Blu-ray player for free!

I read an article stating that the Xbox doesn't have any prospect of ever getting a BR drive. Will that mean we have to use multiple discs? Anyway... that is the only con for Xbox for me...

Xbox wins because of the better online service, and online is the future (present)

Even if it got the blu ray drive the games would still be on dvd 9 format to keep compatibility with the older 360's ! think about if ms came out with a 360 that has a blu ray drive for games how are people with old 360's going to play it  !

I own both and has to agree with you 100 percent. With the playstation store, I can register as a South African and buy with rands. Whereas Xbox forces me to use all sorts of weird and wonderful ways to subscribe and buy MS points.

If a company sells a product in a country, they should be forced to provide you with the same facilities as other users. MS does not have to be based in RSA but at least should have the grace to let me register with my proper details and make purchases without having to use funny methods to buy MS points.Even with the funny registration we still cannot purchase Xbox games on line.

After all the Xbox console does not come with a sticker stating that one of their biggest attractions is not available in our country.
