That it is, about 3k cheaper. Only problem is I have the sneaky suspicion google is about to lauch their on slate pc and im a google fanboi. Biggest fear, buy Ipad only to have G-Pad come out and kick its ass.

Yeh thats the only downside but i guess u just gotta put your chips down on the table and hope that it doesnt come out just yet when you purchase the i-pad

The Ipad has some short comings, no camera, no SD support, no usb and o HDMI makes its a good but limited device. If google lauched its out Slate which adress these shortcoming combined with google's could it could be huge.

I guess... thing is i HATE itunes and itunes is the only way to get stuff on/off the ipad. Other thing to take into account is that I dont want another smart phone, i have one of those, i want a tablet/slate pc. Samsungs GalaxyTab runs android but all models has 3g which means u need a 3g contract, something I dont want.
