Electronic Arts announced the Dead Space 2 Collector's Edition, which includes, among other things, a replica of Issac's Plasma Cutter. The gun features trigger activated LED lights.

The collection also includes a voucher to download Issac's Unitology Suit and Force Gun, the game's original soundtrack on cd, a Necromorph concept art lithograph, and a copy of the game.

The Dead Space 2 Collector's Edition will be available for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Pricing details were not announced. The PlayStation 3 version also includes a copy of Dead Space Extraction with Move compatibility.

this ce is kak. seriously ce is not like ce used to be imho. compared to vegas this is poo

edit:
too much expectation of the dead space 2 ce and i suppose too many real decent ce's in my collection.

Meh did not really enjoy the first one. Just posted it for the fans. I bet the "toy"is really cheap crap.

No problem. Yeah this ce is kinda weak. The old days did have better ce. I miss the ce that actually gave you exclusive content like making of and maybe a unit or weapon.
 
errr, I think its pretty sweet! The weapon model for one looks sweet!

Anyone know if the Dead Space Ignition will be available for PC also?? (Getting the PC version!)

Loved the first one! Cant wait!!
 
i've come to realise that they can just have the game and throw in a lollipop and some would think it's sweet

o well each to his own, i still think it's a overhyped ce with not much to offer as for example we in RSA might not be getting the toy gun...

Umm, ok. Have you looked at everything you will get? And you still call this special ed overhyped?

US/CANADA gets the gun, rest of the regions don't so no gun for us as far as their facebook info goes.

so what's left ?

...do you call that collectors ? everyone would in the end get the "tiny digital reward" via dlc as too everyone are able to listen to the sound track or get it otherwise. all you really get extra is concept art... wow i just creamed my pants :rolleyes:

MyGaming contacted EA South Africa for confirmation that the collector’s edition will be arriving on our shores. EA South Africa representative Rehana Hassim confirmed that South Africa will be receiving the PC and Xbox 360 collector's editions with Plasma Cutter replicas and the PS3 collector's edition without a Plasma Cutter replica, with a Dead Space Extraction Move edition substitute.

Thats my reason for asking why you dont call this a CE. I agree, without the gun, it'll suck, but with, it'll be so awesome!

So, my question STILL remains, will PC owners get this? I guess so as its not explicitly mentioned for console only.

EA is offering a Dead Space 2 pre-order special which will grant players access to a downloadable copy of Dead Space Ignition. Hassim confirmed that the pre-order Dead Space Ignition codes will be available to South African gamers.
