As in not responding?

Have you tried deleting clientregistry.blob?

If it continues maybe backup your games and reinstall steam.

Yeah, the store front also looks weird, like normal Roman font for instance, and the it doesn't respond. Starting to get pissed.

Does deleting that blob affect anything ?

no it's quite safe. Just make sure that steam is closed and not running in any way. Then go to the steam directory and look for clientregistry.blob (i think) and just delete it. Start steam up and just let the thing finished, this make take a while. I'm sure steam had issues yesterday as i was offline for at least 10 minutes before it showed everything to be online again.

You rename your current clientregistry.blob to clientregistryOLD.blob to have the old one just in case.

i have also been having some minor steam issues. My steam cloud keeps trying to synchronize... any ideas? or is it simply the internet connection that causes this?

You guys should try google it and look at the results for the steam forums. I'm serious, that's how I usually find fixes for steam related errors.

Sweet, I'll give it a go.

Why would you want the old one on there if it's unimportant?

Did you just tell me to 'google it'? :D

Lol, yes I did- I was waiting for someone to object :D But seriously though, some of the users on the steam forums are quite helpful so I almost always find solutions on there.

But ja dude, deleting your clientregistry.blob file will fix it, most probably. It will re-configure itself and fix the issue, hopefully. It has worked for me every time.

When do you guys play games? I've been wanting to play a few online games for a while now but lacking the people with the interest :(
