Yeah, the False King was a bitch. But he was pretty easy due to his constant patterns. Flamelurker was a pain in the ass for me. Stupid gorilla covered in flames

Nope the False King
Technically deformed Allant is the real king while the boss of the Penetrator Archstone is the False King.
Yeah, the False King was a bitch. But he was pretty easy due to his constant patterns. Flamelurker was a pain in the ass for me. Stupid gorilla covered in flames
Firts time round he took me a few tries but after a bit i managed to get him, in NG+ One hit and even in body form I am history. It must be said all my worlds and my character is Pure Black.
Flame Lurker is weak to Magic some some creative running and he is history.
If i go Hypermode, Morion Blade and Clever Rat Ring, my firestorm spell would drain 3/4 of the Flase King's health, problem is he attacks to fast and interrupts my cast so even with second chance on he gets me. But patients will win out in the end, I need NG++ to get the last few Trophies.

Maneater is easy in NG+, go hypermode - less that 30% health with the Morion Blade and Clever Rat ring equiped - equip your catalyst and let rip with firestorm, one hit kill. Rinse and repeat for second Maneater.
There is a glitch that makes fighting the Flamelurker a breeze, he gets stuck in the environment leaving him wide open to be pounded my magical attack of your choosing.

I beat Flamelurker with arrows the first time. I only went Pure Black in Stonefang Tunnel in order to farm Spiderstone and Dragonstone Chunks. Well, and I wanted to defeat BP Scirvir so I could get the Talisman of Beasts. I tend to keep it in Pure White by suiciding in the Nexus. I need to work on my Character Tendency though.
I had to beat the False King with my Sticky Compound Longbow and Heavy Arrows. Might go much faster in Hyper Mode though

In NG my trusty +4 Uchigatana and +4 Abjicators Shield saw me threw.
NG i was pure white in most worlds and character tendency, second play through i went all black. I farm world 4 in pure black ang get about 200K souls working backwards from Storm King Archstone to Abjicators Archstone.

I need to upgrade that Adjudicators Shield. That and the Dark Silver Shield I got from Garl Vinland. I had a Dragon Longsword +5 and a Purple Flame Shield +8 when I finished my first playthrough. I need to get LOADS of Colourless Demon's Souls somehow

You need to farm prime evil demons. They show up in each world once you get close to pure black but you will need high luck to get the Colourless Demon's Souls they drop. Check out the wiki it has some good tips.

I love this game, just killed the False King, one hit from hypermode Firestorm and he was toast. Don't know how I pulled it off I was sure he was going to get that second hit in after the first took care of my Second chance. Now for a few loose ends to tie up and Its off to NG+++

Only need pure Darkmoon stone, 3 chunks of Dragon Stone and 3 Chunks of Marrow stone to finish off all Weapon upgrade trophies.

The Asian servers have shut down already that much I know... not sure when the EU one will end, maybe when Dark Souls comes out?

Well, here's another wrinkle in the PSN outage we hadn't considered. In addition to keeping developers from offering their games to PSN users, it looks like the downtime is also affecting development of online-capable titles. Specifically, Kei Horono, producer of Dark Souls, has told CVG that the outage has cause "some problems" for his project's development. Despite those issues, Horono says the team is "in contact with Sony and [is] aiming to meet a street date of October 11." His comments make it clear that the PSN outage is causing more widespread complications than many may realize.
Also, it's worth pointing out that, in discussing the issue, it appears Horono may have given away the planned Dark Souls launch date, which was only recently revealed as simply "October."
