Anyone else have it when you use aard sign on creeps they will go down and pop right back up and attack very fast?

There is somewhere a INI file you got to edit. I could have given you a link if the noobs over at gog stop asking fking stupid quistion for each lil fking problem omg!@#!@#

No worries, will look into it now now that I know it is possible, thanks ;)

Also, putting the game on Normal it made a substantial impact on challenge. The two places that gave me a headache, were first (which I picked first) was the with the "dagron" (Trogdor!). The second, with that large knight dude chilling with some buddies in a courtyard who kept kicking meh ass. After that, it was easy enough.

Had one crash so far, and have it running on med-high settings.

Only thing I get, which I suppose is by design is when you use an ability and target is not targeted or out of range it takes hp.

Only 6 more hours .... I should have gone with retail for this one, or alteast with GOG.
I like my digital subscriptions to be at one place though. Oh well.

I find that putting Texture Memory Size on high causes my PC to crash. The game keeps trying to use more memory than my GPU has, and then it results in a crash.

I'm loving this game, hard.

I play on high settings and get about 50fps constant. It looks flippin' amazing!

Loving the gameplay itself too. The combat is challenging and fresh, the characters are enjoyable, and story is compelling and well executed so far. They have also done a great job mixing up the gameplay - enjoyed a stealth mission a few hours ago :)

If I were to sum up my thoughts so far in a sentence, I would say that it feels like a "next gen" RPG in comparison to similar games I have played. Really in a class of its own IMO. There are a few mild interface annoyances. For instance, I find it difficult to center Geralt on loot for pickups, sometimes having to take a few seconds to get him in just the right spot to collect the dropped items. Also, I'm not sold on the quick time events, but they at least break things up and are not used too often.

Oh, and I have not experienced a single crash in about 10 hours of gameplay. It is a beast though, and brings my HD 6970 and Phenom 2 970BE to its knees on ultra settings :/

Tinman,
Read that ubersampling is the main culprit when it comes to killing your PC in ultra.
Then again, the reports I read on a vaguely similar setup as yours suggest that you have switched it off (With uber sampling its around 25-30 fps).

One thing that do annoy me as well.

Thing that anoys me is the arm wrestling and the new dice game.

Its not so bad, I finished both of them in Flotsam. This time I'm actually enjoying and actively playing the dice minigame unlike in the first Witcher where I probably only played it once.

Chalk up another player slightly frustrated with the looting system. Minor issue though, as I'm really enjoying the game.

Steam purchase here, and have hardly read any tutorial hints let alone a manual, so I'm not sure if I'm missing something obvious in the interface, but I do miss the option of directly targeting the enemy/monster I'd like to take down first, seems the reticule kinda jumps from one target to another based on your current view which feels a bit clunky when you have 4-5 nasties trying to rearrange your face.

try presing alt.

Okay now I'm REALLY stuck, how the fuck to I kill the Kayran???

Spoiler: show
I took Triss' advice and mixed a cordial of Ostmurk and drank it, but I can't even get close to the monster before his tentacles take care of me! Then when I do get close his mucus/spit takes care of me in one shot! And I got lucky once got got really close but my sword does no damage (My silver one)... I'm one confused guy...

Right second question, the DLC finally downloaded for me last night but now I can't install them for some reason :wtf:?! When I try and install them it says Administrator privileges needed, WTF?? I only have one profile and that is the Admin profile !
Never had a problem like this before ???? How do I get this sorted?

Thanks!

Here ya go Duke.

Spoiler: show
Place an Yrden sign on the ground where one of the tentacles with the orange glowing bit will try to hit you. Dodge out of the way and when it hits your sign it will be trapped there for a while. Use this opportunity to attack the orange glowing bit until it's destroyed. Do this two more times until the final phase, which I'm sure you can figure out :)

Hope that helps. :)

Nope our ADSL decided to die again (thanks Telkom ). So I'll try again one day when it's fixed, but I might already be out of this area by then. :(
