Would you buy Duke Nukem for PC or console?

Just a question for those of you who actually grew up hitting the F-buttons to make Duke insult your opponent (while you play over the RS232 serial-cable connection setup because your BNC network cable was short a terminator) and end up spending a good 5 minutes going "Shake it baby" instead of hunting your opponent, would most probably buy this game...

However, nowadays we have XBOX 360 & PS3's and most PC gamers I know also has one or the other (or in some cases, both) consoles.

So which would you rather play on? PC or console?

EPIC! I remember spamming those like crazy after kills. It was like a celebration dance.

To answer your question, I would go with whatever you are comfortable on, ALTHOUGH I still can't get the idea of FPSing without a mouse and keyboard.

I'm with Phatso on this one.

PC. I prefer using a mouse and keyboard when playing a first-person shooter and find aiming using a gamepad difficult. Perhaps if I practised more...

I'm actually getting the game on both platforms (PC & Xbox). On Pc for myself and Xbox for the wife (she's a console gamer).

I'm hoping I can get that other GTX 570 that's up for grabs and SLI them to max out my DNF settings ingame.

I have to see the uhh... baddies in the best possible picture quality :P

I am defiantly getting the game for PC if it is any good. Not gonna waste my money again on kak. i will wait for the reviews on the game. Only game i will get without a review is COD MW3 but even then, if it does not have dedicated servers on release i wont get that either.

It's confirmed that there will be no Dedicated servers for MW3. Besides I doubt Gearbox will make a bad game, Borderlands was pretty good, and they've kept most of the original material from the DNF creators.

You see everyone has a different opinion of what constitutes a good game. Borderlands in my opinion sucked and as for MW3 there are no confirmed details of the game with regards to dedicated servers. Quote from this website "this information is not official".

PC, I do not like playing First Person Shooters on any other platform. Also I do not own a console. :p

Does anyone (AKA Tinman, James, Rusty, The rest of the MyG crew) know how the MP is gonna work from a perspective of Dedi servers, or Match Making for PC obviously??

Thanks :)

EDIT: and not forgetting if there are Dedi's who's planning on hosting servers??? I'm keen to find out details here :)

360, as the PC port will probably be of inferior nature, as I've been picking up with buying games for the PC recently. So far only Mass Effect series was done reasonably well on the PC.

haha. You are poking a bear with a stick now. What PC are you running the games on though? What do you mean by "inferior nature"? I also have a PS3 and my games run far better on my PC than they do on the console. The only thing i use my PS3 for now is BluRays, racing games and my wife's Guitar hero. Before someone says something about Xbox being better than PS3 or PC, i have had that as well and its worse than PS3. At-least the PS3 i can use as a BluRay player. So at the end of the day PC is the best and fastest way to play games and use applications. Jees Lupus you got me going there. sorry.

Woohoo, my mission has been achieved, my PC is an old AMD 955BE with an ATI 6870 4 gigs of RAM, but yeah Dead space horrible, Mirrors Edge horrible and a few others horrible on the PC compared to their console counterparts. I also prefer playing multiplayer on my Xbox to be honest, though if PSN comes back up I'd like to give it a spin on there ;-). The advantages of having a wife who lets me indulge my gaming whims is I've got a lot of choices, I just love my Xbox too much.

Any moron knows that most multiplat games are ported to PC and most of these ports are crap. Every Shooter since MW2 has had to under go a torrent of Patches to make it even playable. So take that PC Elitism of yours and stow that shit.
