Oslo shooter used Modern Warfare 2 as a "training simulator"

Well all you have to do is read a few lines of this document to realize this guy was a Hamburger and Fries short of a Happy Meal. Sheesh!

Luckily I haven't heard any of the news channels here mention anything about this, I guess its only a matter of time until Fox gets a hold of this "info".
 
Hmmmm funny that. Last night, I was playing MGS4 and somewhere in a cut scene they were speaking about training child soldiers by giving away free FPS games.

The US military uses the same type of thing, with CryEngine3 as the basis for their combat simulator.

But there is actual military training, and then a lunatic using it as training to mow down a bunch of people. I read some of the things that this guy wrote and he really is out of his mind.

How has the world--or rather more specifically, how have people changed?

There remain parts of the world which stone women for being raped, there remain wars now and even before we were born, before our grandparents were born, for as long as people have basically been alive. There has always been crime, there has always been murder and there have always been batshit individuals extremist and otherwise.

Your perception on the world is the only thing that isn't what it used to be :)

Agreed but the frequency increases as the population do....
 
You cannot use a game no matter who makes it as training simulator for learning how to kill people.

Apparently you can. If you're mad. This oke is totally insane. He can use a dive in a fishtank as a simulator to kill people.
 
Oo and a F1 2010, the we can all be formula 1 drivers. They must just built a keyboard or controller in for a steering wheel.

Well he can continue to play MW2 on a nice HDTV in one of Norway's cosy prisons.....

Well, this guy's a nut. Strange though, doesn't he bare a SLIGHT resemblance to Makarov from the MW2 art book? Is it just me?
