Star Wars: The Old Republic

Now of course, the only problem remains: where to get a client. Anyone live in the Durban/Pietermaritzburg area that is going to download the client? I stay 200km from DBN but it is the closest city to me, so willing to drive and get a copy from someone with cheaper bandwidth than me.

I am not sure if you would be able to do this....I am still a bit stupid with Orgin client, but have not seen a way to backup like we can on Steam. Will play arround with it tonight and see if it is at all possible. Also the client has not been releasted yet. I am thinking they might only release client closer to begining of December...

I meant once the client is released ;-) I am pretty sure I read somewhere that the client does not have to be run inside the Origin setup. Will have to wait on that I am sure.

Same here. Willing to pay :P

When I go to the origin site I get the message that Sout Africa is not catered for...

Anyone tried amazon.co.uk?

Looked at options. I registered with origin by installing the origin client

GOing to order from Amazon.com. Ordered from them before with no hassles. This means I will have the client so to say without any new updates.

I hope this is the case. From experience the DVD version of a client on release day of an MMO is at least 1-2 patches behind the actual playable version.

Eish would still love to get my hands on the client as the early access or so starts, because I'm pretty sure it's going to take more than a week to download it with my speed :P

Might try make a plan with someone with a 4mb. Sith Juggernaut inc

will there be a trial gameplay version or demo?

No telling yet, trials don't usually come till much later after release as far as I can remember. Any access to the client, even if can't be used, would make me happy though.

I know what you saying. But what if its not what you expected, it would mean having downloaded the client for nothing and paying a months subscription just to see whether it is indeed a game you will be playing in future(majority of mmorpg gamers wont mind). I for one would like to try it out first
