where can i get a DStv decoder quick and cheap?
Game and Makro want R599 but they give me installation and the dish... I just want the decoder.
my one is giving a 8118 error
Do I need to buy a smart card also, or can i just use my current one in the new decoder?

If you are in JHB, take your decoder into Multichoice in Randburg and they can diagnose the issue on the spot.

They will sell you a new one if need be.

why dont you just take it in to multichoice? they normally swop it out for you or you can buy it from them directly.

I bought mine from a TV Shop like Govan Mani or Kay Makan and came without the installation and dish and depending how old your smart card is you might have to use the new one which comes with the decoder for free.

All you need to do is phone the call centre and Johannesberg and tell them you want the subscription move to the new smart card and to be linked to the decoder. If using the old one you just have to link it to the new decoder.
