Guess i have to start up that prologue soon, and oh yes reason why i started with that map first was because of certain order in the plots.

Well I have been playing Heroes since the first one came out way back in 1994 I think it was. I try not to play online much as the internet at home is very bad. I own the Heroes complete collection and if you don't have it I strongly suggest you buy it, at under R100 it really is excellent value for money

This. I still think the Shadow of death was by far the finest expansion that was conceived. The whole story around sandro.
And all the strange and fun terrain. And the campaign was so much fun.

Still going to say Tribes of the East was my favorite. But then again I only played the campaign in Heroes 1 and starting Heroes Vi campaign as well.

Might play it at work, just gotta bring it. Been thinking of giving Heroes 3 a run again, and work is the best place for it.
So nice to have turn based games where you can just get up and go or leave it going while helping somebody else. Otherwise I just tell the wifey to work so that I can play lol :)
 
Yee hah, I beat the computer in a custom game last night. Played against I think it was 7 enemies and won, maybe there is hope for me in this game lol.
Anybody else playing this game?

Heroes Three or Six, because i am enjoying Heroes thus far, lol!!!
I did so many battles and still at Dynasty Level 2, lol!!!...
So awesome thus far....have just played skirmishes and upgrading my Dynasty weapons before doing any campaighns, busy with that extra Map of The Dekuxe Edition, already defeated That Water Dragon Boss, sjoe had awesome abilities, wish some unit could also have those, they were awesome.
 
Heroes VI.
I am playing Heroes 4 at work, keep forgetting to bring my copy of Heroes 3 here.

I am manager here, so when I don't feel like working anymore, I tell the minion to take over. It is an internet cafe and also we get very quiet sometimes where you sit there twiddling your thumbs. So instead of sitting there bored out my skull I play.
I brought Heroes 3 with me today, so later I will be rocking that game :)

Oh ok that makes sense. H3 is my fav game of all time :)
 
I've been getting stuck into this game lately. Currently going on Dynasty level 8 I think!

I played Heroes V until my eyes bled and I'm actually enjoying Heroes VI. There's a whole lot of changes that I like:

1) Customizable heroes
2) Clear distinction between Might and Magic heroes.
3) Easy to get skills you want - no more "choose one of the random 4" crap
4) Very pretty animations

Stuff I hate:

1) No more spinning town view! Why do we only have a crappy video now??
2) Why did they remove Sulphur and Mercury?
3) No random map generator. This really ticks me off.
4) Stupid conflux crap. Whenever internet disconnects or there's some random connection problem you're kicked out to main menu.

While I'm on topic who else thinks the AI is overpowered? I struggle to get past easy AI's at times. Especially in the campaign! It was redonculous!

Anyway - what's your "usernames" so that I can add you to my player list.

I'm not playing online at the moment, but I think Cloude does.
Spinning town view will probably make a return, down the line as a lot of people are complaining about it. But probably only in the expansion.
You forgot about gems lol. I quite like it without the other resources as it makes the game easier to pick up and play.
Random map generator should be in in the upcoming expansion. Really looking forward to that as I think the dungeon faction will be the new one in that expansion pack. They are probably one of my favourite factions so really stoked.
Yeah AI is pretty strong, but I am still learning all the units abilities and honestly only recently discovered that you could choose which unique building to build and discovered how awesome the demon faction can be. Same faction that I won the above mentioned game with.
However the problem with not playing online is that the dynasty stuff doesn't work with offline so I haven't even seen any of that action yet.

I also get a feeling that the expansion will be elven based. Perhaps we get both Dungeon and Sylvan!

I'm sure someone will write a script for random generating from the Map Editor.

While I love the Dynasty and Dynasty weapons my problem lies with how a disconnection is handled - you play for 2 hours and then suddenly get kicked to the main menu without saving! :O
 
Really loving the Stronghold faction.
I need to get more practice with them but their abilities really tie in with my style
 
Hi 4ss4ssN , will add you, and it happened to me only once on disconnections. I was only in a short battle , and so when i do play its usually in the late evening , that's when i have better connection. Ived finally started up my first campaighn(stronghold) and yeah i'm close to dynasty level 8 now lol!!!...The reason they had left out those resources was for focus on other things such as where it will be more "strategic", so they say. Yep next patch would bring in the towns what everyone been saying.
For me ai is just plain stupid, lol!! but yeah u right at times they do become overpowered.
So which Dynasty Weapons are you currently using?
 
Im busy with them on my first campaighn. just dont choose a path blood or tears on first map. theres a bug on the next map. that wont allow you to continue if u chose tears, currently wanting to go blood.
