Skyrim Thread

I dunno if it's just me but it's REALLY effective against dragons.. That mixed with frost shout...

I'll give it a go tonight and see.

Still heading to Riften, got sidetracked by buying a house to store all my crap in. I know you shouldn't look everything but I do so I can improve it at the Smits and boost my smiting skill.

I have a question about the game: I want to know what class/race I must choose. I'm usually a run and gun guy, but I want to use swords, bows and spells in this game. Any suggestions?

There are no classes, and the races each have their own strengths, choose which ever u want or strikes ur fancy. Its a play the way u want to play kinda game.

I went to the Skyrim wiki page and there was something about warriors, mages and thiefs (I think). I just assumed those were classes. Thanks for clearing that up:)

heading to the thieves guild? u can also find out about the uncommon gem in riften.. oh and when u get there and u get the armour for the thieves guild, the best combination is all thieves stuff except for the dark brotherhood shoes.. :) (in my opinion)

I'll see, with the exception of perks and stuff I try not to plan too far ahead in Skyrim, i tend to get distracted quiet easily.

I dunno, in the beginning I hated it. I even told Cynikill that it was really detracting from my enjoyment of the game, about half an hour after starting, but now I kinda like it. I'm not sure why. Only thing I want differently is a tab for the quest menu directly from the tab screen. Feels odd having to press escape to get to see my quests.

I call him Pegasus.

Hi guys,

One question that will decide whether I get the game or not. Do I need to have an active steam connection in order to play? I was thinking of getting it for my laptop and playing it when I am up north at work.

All the posts in this thread have got me aching to play!

You need steam to activate it and update it on first use. Thereafter you can run steam in offline mode, no connection required.

Just press J (or map it to another keu), goes directly to the quests.

My only problem with the U.I is now and then I click one option and it registers as the one above it or something similar.

Finally got around to play it. It really is another step up from tes IV and I can say money well spent so far :)
