anyone having XBOX live problems?

Hey guys I have been suspended from XBOX live. I get shown a message that says there is issues with my credit card which is expired but I have been playing on a pre paid code for the last 2 months just fine until now.

after looking around the interwebs I see that some people had this issue before and it turned out to be MS doing something behind the scenes.
If this is happening to anyone else it may be the new dashboard rollout?

so anyone else having issues?
 
Im having Disconnection Issues. My Live keeps disconecting, something its never done with my current router & I havent changed any settings.
 
I'm also randomly getting d/c'd & I'm unable to join parties or have people join mine. :/
 
No issues my side, logging in as usual, no dc's. You might need to follow up with MS directly, what exactly do you mean things are happening behind the scenes?
 
Mine is also fine. Or at least there's no problems that I can see.

The only peculiar thing is that Raptr hasn't been tracking my last gameplay session for some reason.
 
I've been having quite a few issues lately too - but not with billing etc.

When in a party it randomly kicks players, you constantly need to re-invite. Playing MW3 it sometimes causes my Xbox to lag at the menus even - it'll freeze for a few seconds, shudder along a bit, freeze. Like its on a go-slow. Sometimes it sorts itself out, othertimes it needs a reboot.

Also, I've had it dc me a few times too. And dc me completely off of XBL to the dashboard.

Very strange.
 
Had a biggish party going on Friday. Probably 8 or so people, and people kept getting disconnected from the party, a couple of people got booted back to the BF3 menu too. Also been having problems joining certain peoples parties

Ya, Ill give MS a call tonight.

I don't know exactly what goes on under the hood of Xbox live but according to some forums I found, it appeared that MS had to perform some updates thereby causing connection hassles.
 
Everybody has the same problems because; Xbox live (Microsoft) is having difficulties in managing the accounts that are signing in... That’s why it's not your fault...
 
Wonder whats the point of SA players to play online . I was playing fifa 12 online and omg lag.... i have 4mg uncapped so WHY oh WHY?

Thats normal, your problem seems to be more billing related though. Hope everything works out, let us know how it unfolded who knows one of us might one day be in the same situation.

@Polosieperd Your line speed has little to no effect on your latency ie lag, you will need to find other SA fifa 12 players and link up with their online games, unfortunately you wont be able to go into matchmaking and find local games, our market is just to small.

This has happened to me two or three times...very irritating.
 
I moved my xbox and now it gets perfect signal and doesn't disconnect. Its weird its in pretty much the same place it was except in a different tv unit, but hey not complaining.

Your line speed isn't causing the lag, its your latency and/or you are probably also shaped. Common problem with uncapped packages.
 
Ok finally managed to give them a call and spoke to an awesome Irishman. My problems all sorted.
For some reason the MS billing system wouldn't let me remove my credit card as a payment option which I wanted to do before it expired. So I bought a 12month pre paid code thinking that this would negate the need to remove the expired card details. Nope. MS decided to ignore the pre paid code and continue to take money from my card. Luckily they didn't succeed because the card is expired.

The Awesome Irishman had to cancel my xbl account to get rid of the card billing error. The card as well as the pre paid code which is now 2 months old, deleted. He sent me a brand new 12 month code and thats that. Back to normal. All my xbl friends and downloads are still available incase anyones wondering.

It was a 20minute call to Ireland on an 0800 number and the guys there are great to deal with.
