Mass Effect 3 Thread

Until about 10.
Played some ME3 and then some UC3 MP and then I had to go sleep because I was getting addicted.

Ah I popped on just after 10 and when I didn't see you online I played some ME2. On Insanity its no walk in the park.

Cannot wait for this! Was a bit unsure about getting it on release day, but playing the demo made up my mind about that.

So MP is good? I'm tempted to give it a try...

I CANNOT WAIT ANY MORE!

I want to play this as in yesterday. I will be taking a week off just to get this out of my system otherwise I will be at the office lurking the forums and daydreaming of the Normandy.

:D

Taking a page from Halo's book it seems. Still freaking AWESOME!

So procrastinating cost me a copy of the N7 edition from Takealot and Kalahari seems to be sold out too.

So I had a look at Incredible connection and they had stock for pre-order, thus I placed my order immediately. I've just never ordered from them so I'm hoping I get my game on release like I would have with other online retailers.

/fingers crossed

Enough with the hype EA, you have my money already! :)

Ouch, yeah I ordered my N7 back in December already.

As for the EA Hype Machine... If the material is on par with this and the 'Take Earth Back Trailer' Keep em coming.

Mass Effect 1 happened to long ago for me to remember anything :(. Apart from the impressive looking Citadel station interior and becoming a Specter. I played ME2 on The PS3 for about 20 hours before the console decided to contract Spontanius-Cease-To-Stop-Working-Syndrome. So I am pondering whether I should buy ME1 and 2 on Steam and get back into it and get ME3 later on, or wait for the inevitable Steam ME3 Super pack containing all ME games and DLC later on......

Same here. I ended up getting it from Loot.co.za (most others don't include free delivery). Hope they're ok though (I've never ordered from the before). Reviews on Hellopeter seemed ok.

I'd rather buy the physical copies. I don't know, something with Steam and EA games these days... prices are ridiculous: $20 for ME1, $50 for ME2. If you buy from BT Games or the like, ME1 on Superhits is R50 and ME2 is R80 I think. Much cheaper.

Hmmm Didn't think about that! Just found both copies in stock at an online retailer for R42 a piece.

Good Stuff :)

Dunno if anybody else has heard this but the word on the virtual street is that weapon restrictions are off for ME3 which means your Adept is going to be able to wield an Assault rifle, further more it sounds like instead of set loadout you can carry different loadouts. I dunno how official this is but in the MP demo I could equip my soldier with a Machine Pistol, something the soldier couldn't use in ME2.

Update: Looks like Loadouts have been confirmed: https://twitter.com/#!/manveerheir/status/104246907349647360

Ah, but your chosen weapon's weight affects your abilities cooldown speed. If you take, say, a pistol your cooldown will be quick. If you take a full-on semi-automatic assault rifle your cooldown will take a lot longer.

Its all in the name of balance. It sounds "cool" to me though (hyuk hyuk)

Makes sense though, if you let the player carry all the weapons they will be grossly over powered. I think it's more like the amount of weapons the player carries. Like the soldier can carry the most and since most of his/her abilities are passive, like the ammo modifiers, the cooldowns will be regular. While an Adept with mostly active powers will get severely penalised if they try and carry all weapons.

Eitherway Im dropping the shotgun first chance I get. Hardly ever use it and I much prefer my Matlock rifle and Viper Sniper rifle to it anyways. I will also swap the pistol for a Machine pistol.

We'll In co-op I'll let you do the up close and personal stuff and I'll take long range with the Sniper rifle. Might build a Infiltrator for co-op.

Cool. As you know, I have all the finesse and tact of a drunk ballerina in a minefield.
