@ Murph, dude just get or borrow a netgear router and try again. Friend had the same shit with Diablo3 and a D-Link router where the router just disconnects after 2 mins.

You don't need to do ANY port forwarding on the routers to get these things working. This is what NAT does for you. The only time that you need port forwarding is if you need to access a service from external source to your internal pc - like hosting a tv show list or something like that.

Not entirely true Nimz. Most Xbox games require port forwarding if you want to play online. Gears of War, COD etc etc often requires port forwarding before you can get it to work.

We can, I'm gonna ask dohc for his screenies of his router, obviously not the entire setup just his port forwarding schedule. :)

Most of the fscking routers need it

Cool - let me know when we can hook up.

Man this is getting confusing.

Port forwarding

If you have a firewall or network hardware, such as a router, you might need to make a configuration change in order for your Xbox 360 console to communicate with Xbox LIVE. This configuration change is sometimes called “opening ports” or "port forwarding."

Xbox LIVE requires the following ports to be open:

Port 88 (UDP)

Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)

Port 53 (UDP and TCP)

Port 80 (TCP)

Note If you cannot chat with someone using Video Kinect, you might need to open port 1863 (UDP and TCP).

If you're connected to a network through your workplace or school, ask the network administrator to open the above ports used by Xbox LIVE.

If you receive a NAT warning when connecting to Xbox LIVE, please see the following article: Error: Your NAT type is set to strict (or moderate).

I love insurance. You pay and pay, when shit happens you have to pay. But I don't see them paying when shit doesn't happen.
