Yeah, I has multiple adsl accounts So its easier to go with bridge

There are just so many script kiddies, pinging Telkom IP ranges and testing for default username and passwords. It's just too easy...

True, surely the default username/password would be the Telkom guest account? Thats all you really need in there in the beginning, to test whether you has connectivity

In theory yes... since your ADSL account credentials are not on the router but on your pc... so if they manage to hack your router they'll get nothing, and well they shouldn't be able to hack your pc if your running adequate firewall software.

I still wants to get /meself an IPCop box - hardware firewall with a linux app /drools

Dude this pc is running 98. If i plug something into the USB port it will think its getting violated and freak out. Thus why i have my laptop next to me. Only work on the desktop when i HAVE to.
