The Official "MyGaming" Anime Thread

I seem to have been reading allot of Manga from MORI Kouji without realizing it.

Busy with Suicide Island and Destroy and Revolution,i finished with Hollyland the other day.

He puts extreme detail into his work in both art and information (in Suicide Island in one of the chapters it explains how to catch fish with a net and a group of people aswell as how to spear fish and how to make dried fish and meat.In Hollyland it explains the various ways of how a human body moves and how karate and boxers pull of their moves)

I enjoyed it, although I am waiting for the BD's as some episodes where cut short due to the 22 min time limit. :)

Starting in Fairytale (again) started watching when it started airing got to episode 8, and other shows caught my attention :)

Friend has been pestering me to start watching FT  :D

When is the fairy tail fillers going to end? Or have they ended already?

I watch Naruto Shippuuden, One Piece and Fairy Tail. Is there any other Anime that is worth watching?

Hello there, anime geeks :D

I am a total anime n00b. I've now (finally) caught up to the latest episode of Naruto Shippuuden and am looking for similar types of ninja/chakra/fantasy type anime. Preferably a series that doesn't get good only after 100+ episodes. I've started a few episodes of Bleach but abandoned it after I found the demon slaying slightly creepy and generally not what I'm looking for. Any suggestions?

Try One-Piece,It's a bit silly and there is too much comedy for my taste but you might like it.

Give black lagoon a watch. Not a silly anime.

Skip the Roberta's Blood Trail OVA series, left a lot to be desired.

Bleach get's way better they don't slay "demons" for the entire show, that's D.Gray-man. Give Ninja Scroll, Samurai Champloo, Samurai 7 a try. Not so much "Shonen" mostly fantasy and very good fight sequences in them all.

If you want something more serious, give Shigurui a try. It's not for everyone I will tell you that it's pretty heavy but I enjoyed it after all the other shows I have watched.

Any anime is worth watching, just got to find what you like and work with it.

I hate that people think Anime starts and ends at One Piece, Bleach, Fairy Tale and Naruto. Yes they are popular, because they are shonen (shonen means young boy, so the shows are directed at people of a young age) shows. No they DO NOT symbolise anime as a whole, they are simply a small part of it. There is so many over looked good anime series out there because people are put off, due to the fact that it's not like the "Holy Quadriligy" of anime.

I can understand people use it to ease into it but after watching all of it deciding, there is nothing else any better than those 4 is kind of silly when there are 1000's of shows that are superior in every way.

***Edit
btw I am watching, Baki The Grappler, finished Gundam (The original) had a tear in my eye at the end, and yes It is still better than Gundam SEED, also completed The World Only God Knows. :)

My favourite thread.. Been ages.
Anyone else experiencing being more geared towards manga than anime these days? Instead of the watching daily find myself reading the manga instead. Started light novels, Sword Art Online was a great read
Mostly watching anime-only adaptions now
Kokoro Connect is pretty awesome this season
