I'm not a fan of big guilds - I'm in one at the moment (in GW1), and the only reason I'm okay with it is because only about 5 - 10 folks are active.

Don't worry ... I'll pull into the alliance - and probably join you guys for a couple of WvW matches

I do wonder how the free world xfers are going to work. If I'll be able to transfer to numerous worlds which I'm going to play on, and create chars on them to reserve my char name/s. And perhaps guild name.

You can only create characters on your "home" server, you cannot create characters on multiple servers. Server transfer is ALL your characters to the other server, you cannot leave any behind.

I was considering the Desolation server though. I reckon it's going to be very good at pvp, either that or the one you guys are going to. Hmm.

Well server transfer's will cost gems. You can buy gems either with ingame gold or money. So technically you could never pay for a server transfer, just got to save up a nice sum of gold.

500 - to a low population
1000 - to a Med
1800 - to a High

Luckily server transfers will be free for the first few weeks. After that, everyone is hoping that "guesting" will be in game. Guesting is where you can group up with anyone from any server for PVE content.

Sadly, the gaming industry has killed my enthusiasm and hopes. Game after game is just horrible...

I can't even bring myself to say "I just hope GW2 will be good".
I find myself more often thinking "Yeah well f*** it all!"

But here's to trying something new, and the gaming gods finally smiling on something I purchase...

There will be discs, but expect many updates.

Hoping we at least get something wrt our pre-purchases. Last time I went to ask for my pre-purchase package they said they don't have it yet :wtf:

Apparently the update from retail disks to current version will be around 2.4gb. Got no source of this but a few people i have spoken to told me the same thing.
