Chrono Trigger and Age of Kings were awesome. Spent lots of time playing those.

The ultimate 'game that aged well' has to be Pacman, I mean that game just does not die, and probably also Tetris. :)

Do you use your game controller?

I find myself using more and more my x360 instead of K&M. Much more chilling playing BioShock with controller over needing to sit in position for K&M.

Articles like this are fun to write, and lots of people enjoy reading them. Maybe they don't appeal to you personally, but for others, they're a good dose of nostalgia in the middle of a boring work day.
 
Star Control 2, Freelancer and Rune seems to be missing there. I still play Star Control 2 (or rather, Ur Quan Masters) and SC3 at least once a year when I'm not in the mood for anything.

Okay guys, fun is over, back to serious gaming business - and don't you dare let me catch you laughing around here!
 
Many of the great SNES game surprise me by just how good they still look, it's really remarkable. But sprites do always hold up better then polygons.

Planescape with resolution mods and gui mods is still brilliantly playable. :D
 
Monkey Island still looks so awesome. Which reminds me, I still Tales of Monkey Island on Steam and I haven't even touched it!
