Hey guys
Some of you may remember me, and may find it strange that I'm posting on this thread, seeing as I'm a hardcore (although a little softer than I like to think) WoW player.
Recently, one of my online friends started playing GW2, and after watching some gameplay videos I thought it might be a good idea to take a break from WoW, seeing as I had gotten tired of the game, not just in terms of content but with the overall community as well. I feel as if Blizzard is making it too easy; it has just become too noob friendly, and filled with idiots taking advantage of this.
I am incredibly excited to start playing this, ordered it from kalahari.com seeing as it was sold out everywhere I checked. Should be here by tomorrow
I used to play an arms/prot warrior on WoW, any suggestions pertaining to which profession I would enjoy most? Was kinda thinking of just straight-up playing a warrior, but a guardian seems fun as well. Anyhow, I'd appreciate some input on this matter so I can at least be informed when I make the BIGGEST DECISION OF MY LIFE!
...well, not really, but most certainly the most important one I'll be making this month.
Also, I'd like a general indication as to how bandwidth-hungry this game can get. With the recent upgrades Internet Solutions has made to their subscriber packages I've found myself at a better position to enjoy online gaming.
Really looking forward to tomorrow![]()
It is about 3 - 4 gigs worth of updates.
EU servers seem to be down?
Could always get the .dat file from a friend, instead of downloading it.
I see a certain guild got members to donate 100g so they could have a "commander" in WvWvW...

Nope a 100g in total as I understood it.

On a side note.. we now have over 900 members splitted in our 2x 500 Guilds. And got over 300 Guildies online each evening.
I have a question... How the hell do you manage 900 members... or even the 300 that are online at any given time??? ive been in a group of ten before and was ready to pull hair out
I'm in the guild and I have to say everyone in it is quite mature and the guild chat isn't some massive beehive, it's actually quite chilled in there, I love it![]()
What Magnarmalog saidWe have mature people in our guild so it's realy not hard managing the 900 member guild, and myself and Bushbaby are doing a great job from our members points of view, so we just continue like we do now.
Talking about 900 members.. i was running as commander yesterday in WvWvW, and 50 people where following me and kept asking me for orders for some reason even though we had all our guildies on Teamspeak and others joined in on the fun as well, so i just gave orders and people followed them, but we had great fun yesterday, kept me awake till 1AM this morning though.
How do you manage to get that many people in when there are 3 hour long queues just to get into the borderlands?
2 Words: Que early, and que's are random, so if you in a que longer than 1 hour.. reque and it goes quicker.
