Die Antwoord "Fatty Boom Boom" - what do you think?

The production value on Die Antwoord's videos is awesome. It's amazing the difference a proper director and production house can make.

I know the whole "zef" thing is not for everyone but at least they're raising the bar in terms of the quality of stuff coming out of SA.
 
I used to hate these guys, and in fact I still do, but as Dan said, the production quality is really good. It is really different that's for sure.

I am not so sure about the parktown prawn part though, I might have left that part out.
 
Yep was pretty good, and yes they certainly have raised the bar in quality,BUT its still puts us boere in a bad light so no kill it!
 
Cool video I guess but getting some kak vibes from it. That Yolandi freaks me out man, she's like half elf, half tokolosh.
SA definitely has better acts to offer.

So they are raising the quality of shit? Nice. Hate the band, their music, all of it. Listing to that blond bitch squeal in her best brankpan afr/eng makes me want to feed her a wood chipper and then shit on the mushy remains.
 
I've seen chimps throw their own feces at a wall that is more artful than this trailer trash "music". I find it hilarious that society is at the point where it celebrates, even idolises, the worst aspect of our species - the 21st century when man worshiped the idiots.
 
The first part was kinda funny (I like joking about stereotypes), but everything went downhill fast from the hijacking part.
This clip, just like any clip of Julius Malema for instance, is best viewed with the sound completely off. Don't make the same mistake I made. Watch the clip with the sound off the first time... otherwise you might not be able to judge the quality of the video objectively. (My opinion got tainted) :)

Yeah but creating controversy for the sake of creating controversy is lame.
Personally, I find them and their music despicable.
The music video though - I've seen worse.

While in the process bringing forth the most common & despicable parts of the Afrikaner people. I am not a particularly proud Afrikaaner and I cant even read the Burger without needed subtitles but even I feel ashamed to be an Afrikaner when I look at this tripe. The fact that such a large portion of the Afr youth "loves" this "stuff" is exactly the problem, instead of striving to be better, to be more that the jumbled stereotype that exists in South African Media of the Afrikaner they embrace it. Its like they are contempt or dare I say happy to be knows as or considered a bunch of trailer trash. Im sorry but seeing this attitude in my middle brother first hand it bugs me deeply as I striver to be better not worse.

That's some hardcore musical snobbery, especially from someone who usually debates objectively. Just because it's not your kind of music does not make it shit.

Actually, my post was about the quality of production coming out of South Africa. I'm not a fan of Die Antwoord's songs or their style either, but at least they're not putting out videos shot on a cellphone camera for R10.50 that make South Africa look like we've only just discovered electricity.
