LOL! True story... ;)

It's way prettier on awesome PC's but any form of delay for the rest of us just isn't worth it.

@DCWarhound: Random fact - your card is worth more than my desktop altogether!

But with that card i can play on ultra with over 100fps which is pretty darn awesome,i also have some Skyrim mods which has put my game down to 20fps.Everything looks nice but it doesn't help if i don't have smooth gameplay.

True, If I put it to medium or Auto, I get a 5fps slideshow.

Without going into details, most LCD/LED/Plasma screens do not refresh faster that 60 times per second (60Hz), so in theory, your GPU is wasting 40 frames of computing power per second that you will never see.

Except i'm going to record most of my games and usually that takes your fps way down.

I might get a 120hz monitor later on,thinking of the samsung s23a700dsl.
 
I played a bit of aftermath this past weekend; the map design is brilliant all round, scavenger mode is hectic (a bit difficult at times, but fun... Pity I had to go on the US servers to find populated servers:rolleyes:. I must admit though, I think the netcode of this game has vastly improved, considering that I play with wireless broadband, and saw upwards of 650 ms ping, yet gameplay didn't suffer that much (with the odd rubberbanding)
 
I love Aftermath. It has a steep learning curve but once you grow those second pair of eyes (perk #388, I think) it gets much better ;)

Armored Kill is still my fallback for fun though. Have to learn how to fly before Endgame comes out! Any tips?
 
Meh, Battlefield has become so repetitive as have other games, I don't know if it's just me but games can't grab my full undivided attention anymore. I can't sit and play the same game hours on end, They just aren't as intriguing as they used to be ):
As BF3 is a great game, too much of it is just, well meh.

I would love to hear what you guys think about games these days ITT.

When I get tired of all the senseless killing (i.e. Battlefield) I love taking a long stroll... to Solitude in Skyrim. The views are awesome and there's always something new to see and do. Between those two game I use up most of my weekly gaming quota. But I agree that it just hasn't been the same since Monkey's Island 2. Unless you count a few highlights with great atmosphere like Dragon Age and Mass Effect. But strategy-wise... nothing but disappointment.
