I wish that was my issue, because my suggested way to do things required more effort but it would get things done right, now I have to scrap 2 days work (hectic work no less:rolleyes:).
 
oh god... we have just been told by one of our biggest correspondent attorneys that they have found an error in their billing us... Someone form their side forgot to link something with something else so the accounts would go out. Now we are sitting with a bill for 107k in arrears...some of the files we have already closed and there is now way we can get clients to pay those fees... the ASS is having an absolute hernia

most of it we can still get form client as the matters are still ongoing. there are however a few files that have been closed. thing is if we dont pay our correspondents which we are our rights not to do so, as the problem occurred on their side and not ours, their department will close and 5 ppl will be out of a job....

the way I see it, "someone from their side" fucked it up, so it's THEIR problem. I would refuse to pay it

It was a new employee who messed it up. i really feel for them and my boss is really going them and us for that matter cause he cant shout at them quite like he can at us...

Saint - the subject is called MIS - Management Information Systems - aka everything you ever wanted to know about computers, how they work, how they access data, store data and so forth.

Currently on the chapter that deals with databases and how they are created, maintained, how they store the data and access it, from RAM to ISAM to SQL

Some I know, some I dont, its my favourite subject and I am sad that it is only one semester

Late reply - but I have done stuff like this before. Get this is your head early on, gets thrown in as a component into many other subjects, like HR, Technology and Innovation, Systems Design, etc. Even some business ones.

Yea its not fair but some bosses can't distinguish that fact.

Hahahaha ja and he has been in a real fowl mood of late. he and the good boss even had a fight yesterday and they never fight. also i have never really seen the good boss so pissed off...
