Dota 2

So guys whats your thought on the new hero Skywrath Mage

Played a few games with him yesterday...he is insane! Once you get bloodstone to satisfy his heavy mana usage he is probably the best nuker in the game. And the ult is so easy to land with that slow he has.

Personally I find him one of the best heroes in the game due to heavy nukes and being able to escape easily ( fast movement speed + easy slow + force staff ) . The only problem is he falls off quite a bit in the late game, so early - mid game ganking is crucial.

I dunno abt Skywrath he is also very easy to kill.

He is incredibly staunch early to mid game but then I am afraid its over for him, unless you are playing with a very good team.
What I have noticed is that Eye of Skadi works incredibly well for him. The slow + his slow makes your ulti devastating.
As R4C3 said he is really easy to kill.

Build that works for me:

Arcane Boots
Euls Scepter
Blood Stone
Frost armor
Eye of Skadi

A friend used Pugna against him on the weekend, made SkyWrath completely useless.

Squishy hero is squishy :D.

Dota 2 has become my life now ! I literally can't play anything else for the moment.

In any case, I had a lekker Warlock game with oom rys and insanity... Also, with little to no help :D. Slowly but surely, I'm getting there folks... Slowly but surely.

Ye dude you doing nicely

So only had time for 1 game last night, it was a RD. We got a batrider and I got a Jakiro. Epic support and disables. They had an Ursa and all we did in the team fights was drag the Ursa out freeze him and Ulti with Jakiro while our Slark finished the rest off. Epic combo for those that have not tried that duo. By the time the Ursa got back to the fight 10-15 sec later with 1/4 health he died :) and we just pushed tower by tower and finished quite strongly.

There was plenty of warding and counter warding in the game was really an epic battle until the fights started which just went our way.

That sounds like a fun lane. Would hate to go up against that though. That damn irritating sticky napalm coupled with ice path and dual breath. They must have been so agitated on their side

Tonight I play Treant Protector, had a game with him last night, it was a terrible early game (not knowing how to use your hero:rolleyes:), we lost said match, but by the end of it, I'd gotten the hang of him...

Batrider is probably the most annoying hero to play against. I get pissed at him every time.

To anybody who wants to improve their game, read this

I'm a pretty average player in DotA2.
How much time split would you guys that are more proficient at the game say you do between.

Watching your own replays.
Watching pro streams.
Practicing last hitting.
Pubbing.
Scrims.

I play loads of LoL and the wealth of information from pro streams really takes you to a new level.
In Dota2 it just feels like the meta game has so much more freedom that it is harder for me to pick up techniques from simply watching pro's play.

So I'd like to see where ya'll go to improve kinda thing.

Pssh:D. At 57 hours I'm below average . Still learning the heroes, haven't covered even half of them. At this point I'm still learning from a few more pro buddies of mine, pubbing with them, or trying out builds on bots, spectating their games, I also watch the odd youtube vid guides from purge, and a lot of the hero guides on steam are pretty helpful.
