Good luck to all the folks currently studying for exams. I've been studying Financial Accounting since this morning at 8. It's killing me. :(

I've got an incredibly strict study routine, though. If anyone is curious, here's how I study for exams, on a daily basis.

6:45 - Wake up, go for a jog, have a shower and eat breakfast. If there's some time left, I can use it for recreational activities.
8:00 - Start studying
11:00 - 1/2 hour break to have a snack and relax a little
11:30 - Start studying
Another half an hour break at 4PM
7PM - Dinner time, after which I take a little time off for relaxation.
8PM - Start studying again
11PM - Finish up my daily studies and hit the bed

I don't study on weekends, unless I write an exam on a Monday. It's quite a heavy routine, but when you walk into that exam hall after studying like this, you feel like a boss. The only issue with studying like this is you burn yourself out pretty fast. Once the exam period is done you'll never want to look at a book again. :p

What you doing Financial Accounting for?!?!?! our guys doing CTA study that shit, I could never

I'd pass with flying colours given that schedule.

One of the things I learned while studying for exams is whilst taking breaks make sure not to do anything where "recreational" thoughts come in such as video games or tv for at least 15 minutes in to the break otherwise it causes one to forget studied information.
Too much "noise" clutters the memory

Hells Bells, I could never do that.

Two years ago I got an 83% average while studying like this. It would have been higher, but I tanked Sociology because Skyrim released the weekend before my exam. "whistling:

Funny thing is, in high school I never studied. Not even for exams. I was just too lazy. I'd page through my text book the day before the exam and that was it and I always got 50 - 60% for exams. Then I did the same at university in my first year in 2010 and I completely flunked the year. I passed three modules for the whole year and got told I'm not allowed to continue studying at Stellenbosch. I felt so bad about how badly I'd disappointed my parents that ever since then I study like a robot for tests and exams. Stellenbosch actually re-admitted me last year based on my academic performance at UNISA in 2011, but I decided Unisa works better for me so this year I'm back to them. :p

/sorry, that wasn't originally intended to be my boring life-story, but it ended up being that.

You're one of the smart ones, eh? Quick learner.
Don't worry, back stories allows greater in-depth on another's life and who and how they are. Prevents me from asking unnecessary questions.

:)

Graal hang in there. CTA will be worth it. :)

If you have the chance & financial ability to switch to Stellies then I'd recommend doing so....just make sure you're on the English track, not Afr. It'll be murder, but when the time comes to write QE/ITC you'll be thankful.

PM me if you want some additional pointers.

I know the feeling. :( I ended up paying my dad the 20k back...
