Rampage-Gaming,trusted or not?

Heard good things from some, heard more bad stories from others. From Hellopeter.com's ratings, I would never buy anything from them.

As I understand it they're service was quite bad in past but that has changed quite a bit especially with site getting new management at end of this month.
Either you've got your tenses mixed up or you're a time traveler.

Also I believe the postings on HelloPeter are from clients who have all had they're issues resolved but posts were never removed, the old management didn't believe in paying to reply to comments that had become redundant although I really hope the new people in charge realize this was a massive mistake.
No they were right. Its an extortion racket with a thin like of BS. They hold company's image & reputation hostage and ask you to pay else its not fixed.

Given how many people use Hello Peter for company research, though, I think it's advisable for some companies to pay up to reply and use the opportunity to build some credibility. Everything's indexed into Google searches as well, so its a valuable tool for the company if they make use of it to their advantage.

Fair enough.

It makes business sense & I get why businesses would participate. Running a business requires difficult decisions. Unfortunately though in this case every company that caves in strengths the power of HP.

All I'm saying is I consider their business model to be borderline unethical. Actually no make that straight up unethical.

Apologies to Void / Rampage if it wasn't clear: My rant is aimed squarely at HP.

You make a lot if sense, but for a company like Rampage, I think the costs are to high to justify it.

I bought 3x Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboards from Rampage-Gaming as I found their pricing was by far the best from everyone out there. (About 1.5 years ago)

Was a good shopping experience back then and I'll admit I've been eyeing the special discount they emailed earlier this week.

I tried Rampage before, got my money back after 3 weeks. They took 3-7 days to reply to emails, and I was lucky to get hold of them through various phonecall attempts. Their emails were also very unprofessional and sometimes rude. They made excuses for everything I ordered and then didn't care to respond until I asked for my money back.

First time a mailed was 3 days after order, which they replied and said the stock is on its way. Next time they said they are waiting for the components to arrive. After that they said the supplier didn't have stock (2 weeks after order). Finally they said the order got lost in transet.

IMO, stay away as far as possible!!!

My 2c worth,

Well i have been shopping with Rampage and Rebeltech for a long time now.
Even ordered stock of up to R60k at a time from Rampage, and it came in time.
I trust them with their service and friendliness.
I would recommend them to anyone.

The so called 80% bad nonsense is the people that are either impatient or expect things to happen like they do for the large online shops like Kalahari or takealot, they don't realise its a small online company, run by just a few people.

On a side note, their internet and phones were down for about two weeks.
That seems to be rectified as i got phoned today, and all emails were replied to.

We are talking about service over a good few years, the only thing a small company has going for it is prices and service. The low prices don't mean much if you don't get service.

Customers expect to get their product on time, failure to do so will ramp up negative rep for that company.

Personally i would rather buy from RebelTech and Titan-Ice for my general hardware needs.

Edit:In another note they seem to be in the clear, will see how they fare for the rest of the year.

Agreed, but my service and delivery from them was just right and on time.
If you read the image that is below each item you looking at, either its red or green to indicate stock or no stock.
But the catch is that people dont read the full thing:
item in stock:
Normal Delivery within 1 to 3 Business days
Regional Areas may take a day or two extra.
Deliveries are only dispatched once we confirm payment is cleared.
Clearly states 1 to 3 working days, always bank on the 3 rather than the 1.
If you dont live in a main city, your stock will take longer to get to you.
If you bank with ABSA and they BANK with FNB, it can take anywhere between 2 days and three days to clear, which moves the process 3 days further, so a total of 6.

But service is what i look for, that is why i shop with Rampage and Rebeltech.

From someone who bought from them I would stay away.
They will answer your info with, Yes there is stock, or Stock will be arriving next week.
Gets you all excited, you place order, transfer money.

Then then the struggle begins. You email asking if the payment is confirmed, no response, wait a day or 2.Still nothing.
Week later response, payment confirmed. No advice on when you will get your stuff.
Wait another week, still no confirmation on delivery or when it will arrive in the country.Send an email. Wait a week, no response.
Fine Cancel order, wait another 2 weeks of trying to get someone to refund you.

Good luck if you do buy from them, maybe you are lucky, however i have seen far too many people complain about their service.

If you require info on the unlucky ones, do a search on mybroadband.co.za

There are those that are happy with the service, and those that are unhappy with the service.
I have not had any bad service from them yet.
The only time the emails or phone didnt get answered was when their lines were down.
Other than that, get my calls, mail confirmations etc.

How much are they paying you for this little campaign your running?

HelloPeter will continue to thrive while companies continue to pay them..... Stop paying them, it's basically blackmail.
